Dear Parent/Carer,
Due to the very high temperatures forecast for the rest of this week and possibly into next, I have taken the decision to adjust our school uniform rules until the end of this term.
As from tomorrow, Tuesday 12th July, learners can wear the following to school:
1. Normal school uniform (tie and blazer optional)
2. PE kit as per school uniform (please see images below)
3. Knee length, loose fitting plain black or dark blue shorts (no denim/jeans) with school shirt

If your child chooses either option 2 or 3, we would ask that you ensure the appropriateness of their clothing in line with the expectations highlighted above and below.
The following clothing is not allowed:
* Cycling shorts
* ‘Short’ shorts
* Tight fitting shorts
* Leggings
* Denim/jeans
* Flip flops/sliders etc. (trainers or normal school footwear must be worn)
Please can you ensure that your child attends school with a refillable bottle of water that can be topped up at our water fountains.
Please can you also ensure that your child has a suitable sun hat and suitable factor sun protection cream for our Skills Festival on Wednesday and Thursday (some activities may be outside) and for our Sports Day on Friday.
Many thanks for your understanding and support with this. If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s Head of Year.
Best wishes,
N Davies
