Year 10 & 11 learners will be expected to take part in the following assessments:
Controlled Assessment and Non-Examination Assessment (NEA)
These are assessments that take part under strict rules and regulations. This type of assessment will contribute to the learners’ overall subject grade.
Mock Assessments
Are examinations, usually internally set and marked, which are designed to give candidates the experience of the examination process, as well as to identify areas of weakness in their knowledge and understanding. These enable learners to practise revision strategies that are proven to be more helpful and discover what works best for them.
GCSE Revision
To further support learners prior to their examination, a number of revision sessions will be held. Details of these sessions will be supplied to learners at the appropriate.
GCSE Examinations
In advance of all GCSE examinations, learners will be provided with a timetable detailing the examination(s) they have been entered for with dates, times and rooms for each examination. It is important that this information is checked carefully and any errors are reported to the examinations office as a matter of urgency.
All learners are to be in school at least 15 minutes prior to the start of an examination in full school uniform.
Morning exams start at 9.00am*
Afternoon exams start at 1.30pm*
